What’s going on in our market?
Our market is hot right now, and the selling season is in full swing. Spring has been incredibly busy and summer is expected to be even busier. In the central Florida market we have way more buyers on the market than homes being sold.
That brings me to one of the most important aspects of our current market, the inventory. A lot of new buyers hit the market during the spring, but there wasn’t a lot for them to choose from. It’s an incredibly competitive market, so I recommend using the best research tools and a buyer’s agent to ensure you can snag a home.
June is coming up, which is the busiest month for buying or selling a home. Kids are getting out of school, which makes summer the easiest time to move. Because of that, it’s predicted that the first week of June this year will be the busiest for new homes coming on the market in all of 2017.

"You need to get your home on the market sooner rather than later."
If you’re looking to buy a home, you need to get ready. The competition for homes in the $300,000 range especially is going to be very high. It’s likely you’ll run into a multiple offer situation. If that’s the case, I recommend including a personal letter with your offer. That could be the one thing that gets your offer accepted over the others. Don’t wait until the end of the summer to start looking either. June is going to be your best bet to find the home you want in the area you want.
If you’re a seller, you need to vet your buyers. That means making sure a pre-approval letter is included with the offers. Also, with June coming up, you need to get your home on the market sooner rather than later.
