Orlando is a wonderful place to visit, and an even better place to call home. Today we'll be discussing some hidden gems in our city. We highly recommend that you experience these things at one time or another!
The Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center is only one year old. It has two theaters, and one is still being built. The Walt Disney Theater hosts Broadway shows and other touring acts. The theater can seat 4,700 audience members
The Orlando Science Center is another place that we think you should investigate. It opened in 1960 as an Anthropology museum, but now has many different exhibits. Seasonal exhibits (they're hosting The Mummy right now), two theaters, a dinosaur room, summer camps, and a cinedome are all offered, so the science center is sure to keep you entertained!
If you're more into sports, then visit the Orlando City Soccer Club. This is a new addition to the city (the club was formed in 2013). They became the 21st franchise in the MLS, and their stadium is still being built in downtown Orlando (They currently play in the Citrus Bowl). Whether you like soccer or not, you have to experience the atmosphere
On the second Thursday of every month, there is a gathering at the Thornton Park district that displays art, and there is also a wine tasting along the art walk. Just $10 will get you a glass, a stamp, and a map so that you can enjoy as much art and wine as you want!
If you love your canines, then you'll be happy to hear that Orlando is one of the most dog-friendly places in America. We have a top 10 dog park at Lake Baldwin Dog park. There are trails, dog showers, and a beach
Lake Eola is a great place to visit as well. Every Sunday there is a farmers market with plenty of local vendors that sell everything from produce to homemade soaps. This is a great place to enjoy a Sunday morning with friends and family!
Thanks again for tuning in to our blog. Let us know if you think there is something that we should add to this list. There are a lot of other entertaining things to do in Orlando!
